The Movement for Quality Government petitioned to the Supreme Court against the Jewish Agency, the company managing the pension and provident fund of the employees of the Agency, the Israel Lands Authority (ILA) and the Jewish National Fund in order to prevent the agency’s employees making personal gain of land which the agency was supposed to run for the Jewish people

The Movement for Quality Government petitioned to the Supreme Court against the Jewish Agency, ILA, the company managing the pension and provident fund of the employees of the Jewish Agency, the Jewish National Fund and the Ancom Group, asking the court to issue an order against the Israel Lands Authority which requires it to return the land to the movement. In addition, the movement asking the court for an order nisi against the Jewish Agency instructing it to return the land rights at Mevaseret Absorption Center (Merkaz Klita), which designed to serve public purposes for the Jewish people and the welfare of the employees of the agency.

The Movement is also asking the court to issue an order nisi against the Jewish Agency to transfer the proceeds of sale of land for public purposes and not for private purposes which are intended to fund worker’s compensation agency. The movement is asking the court for an interim order instructing the Jewish Agency and the Israel Lands Authority to refrain from acting in any way to promote the transfer of land in Mevaseret Zion to each other and ensure acquires freeze the current situation until a decision on the petition.

In the center of Mevaseret Zion a land leased to the Jewish Agency so that it will set up an absorption center which designed to increase immigrants from Ethiopia. It was recently discovered that the purpose of the land which had been leased for a public purpose and was changed at the request of the agency for residential purposes. Hidden paths and without a tender shifted from the Jewish Agency to the company that manages the provident fund and pension-Jewish Agency employees a private company owned by the Jewish Agency, designed to work for agency workers, In order to sell it to the highest bidder. Money from the sale will be transferred to the private company and the pockets of employees and retirees of the Jewish Agency.

Jewish Israel Lands Authority did not explain how this land was passed in silence, without a tender, and against the declared policy of the Israel Land Authority, from the public to a private company, while favoring the economic interests of the employees and retirees of the agency over the public interest.

The Movement for Quality Government is in its petition that the deal and procedures relating to administrative infected many flaws, including the conduct ultra vires, as opposed to debt Rm”i Agency, in breach of their fiduciary duty to the public, contrary to the guidelines and policies which rm”i itself set by violating the principles of distributive justice ,equality, trampling the public trust authorities and the absence of likelihood require the annulment of the transaction.
